LTOs Deployed

CEMOT is ready for election observation. Taking a stock from two giant domestic observers i.e. TEMCO (the Tanzania Election Monitoring Committee) and TACCEO (the Tanzania Civil Society Consortium on Election Observation) CEMOT has deployed a total of 350 Long Term Observers (LTOs). LTOs are in all 265

constituencies monitoring presidential, parliamentarian and councilors’ campaigns from 14th September to 26th October 2015. The essence is to keep track of the ongoing campaign trails, voting as well as vote counting. LTOs will be supported by 10,000 Short Term Observers (LTOs) or Poll Observers as widely known who will be deployed during the voting day. Tanzania is expected to have between 38,000 and 40,000 voting polls for the 2015 General Elections.
