No Sufficient voter education just 10 days prior to voting day!



This year’s election is unique in a sense that for the first time, the country is shifting from the analogue to a more digitalised system using Biometric Voter Registration (BVR). Interestingly, very little investment has gone to civic and voter education. Voter education should have entailed, among others, basic information on voting rights for both men and women, candidates and issues, as well as specific information on where, when and how to vote. Voters education should also entail, promoting a positive image of women as leaders and hence challenge stereotypes.
