Election and Incidents of Violence

A young man alleged to have been a thief survived mob violence when his attackers found a CHADEMA card in his pocket. (Read more Jambo LeoFriday 9th October 2015). Accordingly, the mob had intended to set him on fire.In another moving incident a young woman relaxing with her friends in a night club, almost lost a life when she publically
confessed that she did not like Edward Lowassa, the UKAWA presidential candidate, and that she was not going to vote for him. Her drinking mates turned againsther chasedher, grappled her, bit her and when she stood firm on her position, one of the guys went into his car and came out with a pistol ready to shoot and kill her. At this point the other attackers rescued her! When she reported this case to the police, it was taken lightly as the officer on duty wanted her to show bruises!
